Catu Diosis is a Ugandan DJ, producer, rapper and dancer based in Cologne. An affiliate of the Nyege Nyege collective, she combines bass-heavy selections, rap and movement in performances shaped by Afro house, kuduro, batida, acholitronics and underground club sounds.
Her studio work spans original productions and remixes for artists including Pamela Badjogo, Mamari Keïta, Hello Cosmos, Dope Saint Jude and Muito Kaballa. Across her work, she builds cultural connections between Uganda, Germany and the Global South.
Her performance history includes Berghain, Waking Life, Couleur Café, Rec Beat Festival, Contra Festival and Nyege Nyege, alongside features on BBC Radio, NTS and WDR Cosmo.

Catu’s recordings bring together club rhythms, rap and experimentation. Her blend of noise and Acholi chants on Choc Kedda appeared in The Wire’s Below the Radar in 2020. Her guest appearance on WaqWaq Kingdom’s Buri Buri was included in The Quietus’ Tracks of the Year 2023.
